If you think you are old, useless, not worthy, not good enough, let the determination of an unbeliever motivates you. No, i am not asking you to take SPM; the Malaysian Certificate of Education, is a national examination taken by all fifth-form secondary school students.
GOD IS SOVEREIGN
i am not ashamed to tell you that i am frequently motivated by, non believers, indirectly. When the Word said,
Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. Philippians 2:4 NLT
i do not look out only for my own ego that has the tendency of belittling others, but i take an interest in others. If you are prideful, another words, high opinion of Christianity than others, and you cannot accept others to be better, then you have an attitude problem. It not about Christianity, but an unresolved issue of ego.
Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall. Proverbs 16:18 NLT
Unbelievers are neither representing the Christian God nor Christ Ambassadors. But God is sovereign. He is in control of the lives of believers AND unbelievers, just as He did so in the Bible, e.g., King Cyrus of Persia. In the ‘upside down world’ of God, You cannot limit what God can, or cannot do. You just cannot.
8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT
True, our natural thoughts are nothing like His, BUT if you have an intimate relationship with the Word and allow Him to work within you, and through you, His thoughts will shape yours, just like the potter and the clay. Your access to His thoughts through the Holy Spirit increases, while your intimacy with Him grows.
For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts?
Who knows enough to teach him?”
But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

EVENTS & SITUATIONS
i was teaching T CLASS students recently about God uses events with situations, such as trials and testings to fulfill His plans & purposes, since He does not force people to do His will. People still have choice. God assesses their response directly from their heart. This short article intends to demonstrate an example of events( time-based activities) & situations(circumstances and factors that affect the event). He uses non believers to inspire & teach us. It is up to you to ALLOW the Holy Spirit to HELP YOU CONNECT the dots on how they can be linked to GOD’S PLANS & PURPOSES. Just as i read this newspaper article, Helper makes all the connections, as i write.
FROM WRITING TO TALKING
i can reveal more to you of what God has shown me, when you join the interactive T CLASS. God is giving me opportunity and training me to talk just as much i want you to be interactive. God has never stopped showing me things and using me as a channel to write ever since my writing journey began. The prayer that i frequently whispered into the night, “Use me, Lord.” has been answered. Cannot complain much. Even though, i want to stop writing, so that i can focus on other things. Apparently, God has other plan for me. i am not sure how this article would impact you. As soon as i write this, i am reminded by His question,
“What is that to you, Charles ?” (John 21:22)
Euphemism for, mind your own business. Again, something i learn while preparing for T Class. i learn to obey and trust His sovereign plans is in motion right now even as you read. Just a short promotion of T CLASS & my testimony to praise God before i continue with the article.
HOW DO YOU TREAT THE WORD ?
Back to case of the 65-year old senior citizen’s determination to study and sit for SPM. 2 things…
1.Virtue : Determination
2.Pursuit : SPM
If an unbeliever determines to pursue earthly certificate at old age, how does it speak to you ? Christians are being inspired to follow and go deeper, likewise even more so, the Word of God, things that are even more urgent & eternal, like your whereabouts in eternity.
As Christians, 2 things,
1. Virtue : Obedient to Helper Inspiration
2. Pursuit : Word of God
You are not useless or unworthy. Are you going to be stirred by the Holy Spirit, or your self-defeating thought ?
God’s will is for you to accomplish What He has planned for you before you leave this world. Spend more time reading the Manual, a.k.a. Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth/ B.I.B.L.E. How many of you read your car manual, washing machine manual, mobile phone manual, or your refrigerator manual ? Are you treating B.I.B.L.E. the same ? Do you turn to the FAQ page only when there is emergency? Do you follow instruction to operate? Are you fully utilising all the features? Do you use them correctly ?
